The story of Gyan Valley Public School begins not in a boardroom, but in a classroom — one that Abhishek Kumar Bharti was already teaching in. Every day, he watched a familiar pattern unfold: private schools in the region collected ever-increasing fees from families who could barely afford them, while the quality of education remained disappointing.
He watched parents — auto-rickshaw drivers, pani puri vendors, vegetable sellers — sacrifice everything to give their children a chance at an English medium education. And he watched those schools fail those families, delivering little more than a brand name and a fee receipt.
That realisation lit a fire. Abhishek, still pursuing his Post-Graduate degree in Political Science, made a decision that would change lives in Godda District: he would start his own school. Not to earn profit — but to prove that good education does not need to be expensive.
He found an equal in Pandav Yadav, who shared the vision and went a step further: he provided the land on which the school now stands. Together, in 2026, they founded Gyan Valley Public School in Bhuska Hat, Meherma, Godda, Jharkhand.

Abhishek Kumar Bharti is a young visionary pursuing his Post-Graduate degree in Political Science — and simultaneously building the school he always wished had existed in his community. His experience as a teacher exposed him to the deep inequities in private education, and instead of accepting them, he chose to challenge them.
As Founder and Principal of Gyan Valley Public School, Abhishek leads from the front — designing the school's curriculum philosophy, managing daily operations, and mentoring students himself. He believes that a school's job is not just to fill children with information, but to inspire them to think freely.
Mr. Pandav Yadav is the co-founder and Director of Gyan Valley Public School — and the person whose contribution made the physical school possible. When Abhishek came to him with the dream of starting a school for the community's children, Pandav Yadav did not just agree in principle: he provided the land on which the school is built.
That single act defined what Gyan Valley stands for: community ownership of community education. As Director, Mr. Yadav oversees the school's infrastructure, expansion plans, and community relations, ensuring that the school remains anchored in local values even as it adopts global teaching methods.
